Loft or industrial style

What exactly is loft? The beginnings of that trend can be traced to the 50s in New York. During that time, old, industrial, tall buildings were adapted for residential areas. This is how industrial style, loft-type housing came into existence. Te most characteristic and distinguishing features of that style are crude walls made of bricks or concrete, visible pipes made of copper or steel on the ceiling or on the walls, cables. The industrial style is still developing. It is not only about old  things, but also a mixture of other styles in one building.
